Over the period of decades the interest in timeshares has grown by a great deal so much so that over two million U.S citizens have timeshare properties in country and out of country. But the rise of the increase of timeshare industry saw the increase in scams and frauds. Off late the timeshare industry has been full of unscrupulous pursuits of frauds and scammers. Nonetheless these serious troubles with timeshares a new strain of options are emerging. One of the chief factors why individuals were attracted towards timeshares was that it will be a costly affair for a large family to vacation each year at a hotel or a resort. But on the other side of it, purchasing a timeshare needs big fee upfront and the timeshares typically range anywhere from ten thousand dollars to fifty thousand dollars also. Even when they sell they sell at 30%-50% lower than their first price.

Now a new era of conceptions is taking holiday industry by storm. And this era is represented by concepts such as resort memberships and condo hotels. A resort membership is an one time investment i.e. you have to pay the membership fee only once and you can savor the advantages of the resort life long. And what more you are not obliged to pay any maintenance fee or taxes. Resort memberships can cost any place from few grand to few hundred grand. Some resort membership can also have annual fee. But if you do a good research there are some resorts within the extent of affordability. The best deal that you can get is could be a lifetime member ship for around three grand and a limited five year membership for just two grand. And the members have admission to not only the resort they have membership in but they can pick out from hundreds of resorts worldwide available in resort company's network. And there is no limit on number of times you want to go and at what time you want to go, your vacation is invariably assured.

One other concept that is getting popular is condo hotel that is a comparatively new concept and only very few individuals own condos in hotels. But the concept is experiencing good reviews and is gaining interest with the time. The way it works is it lets people to buy condos in luxury hotels and use the benefits of all the conveniences obtainable in the hotel. If the owner is not using the apartment he can put his apartment for rent and can receive percentage of the income it makes. A condo hotel compared to a timeshare offers more flexibility, is better equipped, and has better comforts, better services and numerous locations.
